Hello World... we are BACK!

Oh boy! Oh goody! Oh happy day!

The TLC is BACK and better than ever! We are ready and raring to go for the 2013-2014 school year. Did you know this is the FOURTH year of the TLC!? Holy moly! Where has the time gone? We have come so far, accomplished so much, and are still changing, growing, and working our tails off!

The school year has gotten off to a rocking start for the TLC!

Our AMAZING TLC teachers met in early September to beginning planning curriculum and other TLC events for the coming year. We would like to welcome back our returning TLC teachers: Josh & Heidi Holloway from Cliff Island, Mary Weber from Monhegan, Pam Stock from Matinicus, and Paula Greatorex from Isle au Haut! And can we have a special "virtual" round-of-applause for our NEW teachers this year: Christie Jernigan on Frenchboro and Audrey Noether and Lauren Simmons from the Ashley Bryan School on Islesford! The schools are so unbelievably lucky to have such smart, talent, passionate, and hard working teachers. What a phenomenal group of educators!

Along with new teachers, we are very excited to have some new TLC students in our schools! We all met for the first time last week at our annual Inter-Island Event which was hosted this year on Isle au Haut (more on that soon!)

And there is one other new (and yet very old) member of the TLC we would like to introduce... that's ME, Jessie Campbell. You may remember me as the former Monhegan Island teacher and then I was lucky enough for a short time last fall for the TLC. I took a few months off to walk in the woods (literally) and now I am back as the TLC Coordinator! I just can't stay away, and why would I ever want to? The TLC is AWESOME!

I will be doing my best to keep you all posted on all the fabulous happenings of the TLC through this blog, our TLC website, and Facebook page!

Here's to another AMAZING year of the TLC!
